Professional Development Events

Professional development events are workshops and activities designed to enable individuals and groups to enhance their professional capacity.

As an organization, KATI is committed to offering art therapy education extending beyond the Diploma Program into a wide range of professional development for art therapists and other professionals in the fields of therapy, health and education. From time to time, we offer workshops and conferences for professional development.

Open Studios

Open Studios are drop-in art-making spaces held by art therapists or art therapy interns and open to the public.

During the school year, KATI offers a variety of open studios, both in-person and online.

We invite a small donation to cover the cost of art supplies, although no one is turned away due to lack of funds.

Event refund policy

The following policy applies to KATI events with a required fee. Art therapy groups with a “sliding scale” session fee are eligible for full refunds up to the commencement of the event.

  • If you cancel your event registration at least 5 business days prior to the start of an event, a refund of 100% of the total amount will be refunded, less a 5% admin fee.

  • If you cancel your event registration less than 5 business days prior to the start of an event, a refund of 50% of the total amount will be refunded.

  • If you cancel your event registration after event has commenced, a refund will not be issued.
